"Patchwork Purse and Victorian Needle/Scissor case"with Sandy Jenkins

Sandy Jenkins of Fredricksburg, Texas is a national needlework teacher and author of several books and instructional DVDs.  Her books, "Stitches" and "This Stitch is Good For..." are favorites at Pocket Full of Stitches!  She has studied at the Royal School of Needlework in England and has been teaching and designing for 28 years.  In 1999, Sandy received a DMC Teacher of the Year award. This busy woman also has a needlework show that appears regularly on PBS.  Along with needlework, Sandy also teaches quilting, hand applique, embroidery and has an extensive background teaching decorative painting. 

Sandys's line of needlepoint is extremely diverse, ranging from Victorian to Americana and beyond.  She has a gift for turning the most difficult stitches into a fun and enjoyable experience for her students. Sandy has designed two delightful quilt canvases especially for the upcoming classes at Pocket Full of Stitches that are irresistable!! 

Pocket Full of Stitches has made some changes to our Sandy Jenkins Retreat!  Sandy has a great local following and we have had requests for classes with just one project or the other.  We are changing this weekend to individual classes. By changing our format, you have a choice – you can take both classes or just one!  We will not be having a planned dinner or our hospitality suite for stitching, but you can still plan to stay at the Ashmore Inn.  We will be serving lunch at Saturday’s class and will plan to go out to eat together during the weekend. 

June is such a busy time for summer vacations that we wanted to make these classes more flexible for our stitchers!  Sandy’s designs are such a pleasure to stitch and we always enjoy her teaching. Plan to join us for these delightful classes; you won’t want to miss out!  We have wonderful new pictures of the finished needle case and will have a picture of the finished purse as soon as it returns from the finisher.  Every stitcher needs to treat herself with these pieces and this experience!

Saturday, June 28, 10:00 - 5:00 -  Patchwork Purse   (13 or 18 ct.)      $225.00   Lunch is included!

Classes include:

  Canvas, threads, stitch guide and stretcher bars for project. You do receive a 20% discount on your canvas. Also included are teacher fees.

  Special Retreat bag as well as other PFOS stitching goodies.

*** Please note that Airfare and Hotel Rooms are not included in the class fees. We have booked a block of rooms for the retreat at the Ashmore Inn which is close to the store. www.ashmoreinn.com Room rates are $65 + tax a night.
