We held our first Pocket Full of Stitches Stitching Retreat in May of 2008 and it was a great beginning!! Our teachers and our very own Pockettes were awesome, and we had as much fun as our visitors – we have wonderful new and old friends and lots of great memories!! We had such fun in our hospitality room at the hotel. Class members, Pockettes and lots of snacks kept everyone stitching, talking, and laughing! We didn't even stay up too late!!

In May, we hosted John Waddell, a well-known teacher from Houston! He taught "Up on the Rooftop", a fabulous Santa from CBK! John is a delightful teacher and we all had such fun!

August brought Raymond Crawford with his trunk show, models, and irrepressable personality! Each class member chose her own canvas and the Pockettes led them through their stitch guides! Raymond entertained the class with stories galore!

Gail Downing of Ewe & Eye & Friends was here for our September event. She is an incredible stitcher and had such fun ideas. Most class members chose more than one of these charming canvases after seeing everyone else's treasures! We celebrated Pocket Full of Stitches 25th Anniversery at our Saturday lunch with a cake and balloons!

We begin our retreats with our guests filling out a "Getting to know you" sheet. The rewards from this excercise just keep popping up in laughter, interesting thoughts and surprises!! At our last retreat, one of the questions was "Make up a stitching acronym for "PFOS" - We have some very creative stitchers! Thanks for the wonderful compliments! Read On:
