Hand-Poured Lacquer Boxes

Produced in North China, these boxes are crafted in the centuries-old tradition of hand-pouring multiple layers of lacquer.  Only after many days and many layers does the craftsman achieve the final finish, which is both luxuriant and scratch-resistant.  Each box is needlepoint-ready and affords stitchers a wonderful option for display of their needlework.

9 x 7, 9x9, 10 x 10 and 14 x 14 boxes are available in black only.  Solid color boxes with round openings are no longer available.
