Noah's Ark

Forty days and forty nights - not of rain - but of stitching! Once again, Janet has worked her magic and created a charming array of animals to celebrate the holidays along with Noah and Mrs. Noah. You will love our festive friends such as an elephant, flamingo, polar bear, moose and lion bedecked in their Christmas finery. You will also adore our giraffe, rhinoceros, zebra, walrus, and a kangaroo and baby when you see them wearing bows, lights and ornaments! These designs can be finished as ornaments or standing figures, they range in heighth from 4" to 8". Noah’s Ark club members can order a delightful Christmas Ark, decorated with a tree and more animals. A brilliant rainbow beams over the ark! This item is optional - but it is irresistible!!

 

Noah's Ark Mystery:  

During the stitching of these canvases the question has been pondered at PFOS:  Did Mrs. Noah have a name?  Please e-mail us if you know!!   

We have had several replies to our mystery question.  Patricia Y.  works for a Rabbi and he had a source citing that Mrs. Noah's name was Naama.  This was confirmed by another person in her congregation.  Our favorite comment came from Becky M. -       "Poor woman.  Stuck on that ark, scooping up after all those animals and no one ever recorded the poor dear's name!"

 

At last, we have the stitched Ark to show you! Great works take time, you know!  The ark will be the perfect backdrop, standing behind Noah and his family of animals. It measures 16" x 13" on 18 count canvas. Ark canvases and thread kits will be shipped with your December 2000 kit.  This wonderful design is an optional piece to your club membership, but what a perfect way to finish out this collection of treasures!
